Torchwood Series 1. A creditable spin-off from Doctor Who, the first series of Torchwood introduces us to Captain Jack Harkness’ new role as the head of an Alien Intelligence Department in Cardiff. Along with his misfit team of professionals, including Yanto, who I always thought of as the butler, he scavenges Alien Tech to fight Aliens Landing in Wales. Well, scripted and acted although there is perhaps a little too much emphasis on the more erm, Adult themes, Torchwood season one is one of those must see British Dramas. The more Recent Torchwood Children of Earth was the culmination of the groundwork laid by this series and series 2. I personally am hoping for more, but in the meantime we’ll have to satisfy ourselves by revisiting the the team on Bluray.
